Redwood Valley 4H Projects

4‑H programs are grounded in the belief that kids learn best by doing. Kids complete hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and civic engagement, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Kids can concentrate on one focus area or they can try a variety of programs throughout their 4‑H experience.

Regardless of the project area, all 4‑H programs include mentoring and career readiness as core elements.

Projects are a total of 6 hours to complete, usually done in 60 or 90 minute sessions. One completed project is needed per year to count the 4H year in the record book. 4H members can do as many or few projects as they like.  Project days and times are varied.  A Project can be done on most any subject; the link page has the 4H project sheets that give specific items to cover in a project if ideas are needed.

We are always looking for parents to help lead or assist in a project.
